Honiton is a transition town and its aims are to be more fully aware of the reasons for, and the effects of climate change, peak oil and the economic crisis in their local community and to stimulate and initiate actions to increase their communities resilience to those changes.
This Saturday, 6th July 2013, we will be at the Mackarness Hall in Honiton where we will be offering advice on our firewood products, and selling seasoned logs, log stores, Somerset willow baskets, charcoal and other sundries. Our yard at Dunkeswell is ideally placed to service the communities of Honiton and surrounding villages, being literally a stones throw from the town.We are ever conscious that our seasoned logs are as carbon neutral as we can possibly make them, so are sourced as locally as possible, air dried for between 18 months and 3 years to achieve optimum burning, and delivered as locally as possible.
We’d love to be a bigger part of this transition town, and it would make our day if you came along and said hello!
