Seasoned Firewood Logs for Sale in Somerset
Your Local Logs, founded by Alex Yates and Simon Steer have been supplying our Somerset log customers with quality seasoned firewood logs for over 5 years and are are committed to providing the people of Somerset the very best seasoned hardwood and softwood logs, alongside a service that is reliable, trustworthy and friendly.
Our logs are sourced as locally as possible, preferably from the counties of Somerset and Devon, our belief is that if you live in Somerset, Your Local Logs should be able to provide you with firewood logs that have been felled locally, sustainably, and as part of on-going Somerset woodland regeneration, or grown specifically for Somerset wood fuel.
The log lengths are stored in the open air at our yard at Dunkeswell, and air dried for anything up to three years. They are moisture tested, and before sold will be at optimum moisture content for burning as firewood logs.
In Somerset, kiln dried firewood logs are often an option chosen over air dried firewood logs, because air dried can be seen as being unreliable or not of a suitable moisture content for burning. This is usually a more expensive option, often imported and not usually considered to be a carbon neutral fuel. You can clearly see the natural drying process taking place in this trunk of Somerset timber.
We would ask Somerset to try Your Local Logs, as we believe we can provide an equivalent product at a competitive price. Buying a Somerset local log product also has a far greater impact on the local Somerset economy, something we are very keen to support and be part of.
Our logs prices start at £65 for 1 cubic metre of Somerset softwood logs. A builders standard dumpy bag is 0.82 of a cubic metre, so you will be buying approx 20% more than a dumpy bag of logs. We offer FREE local delivery and any delivery beyond our FREE delivery will be charged at 50p per mile over and above the FREE delivery radius.
We also supply timber products, sleepers, gates, log stores, rustic garden furniture, and have the ability to competitively quote on many timber items.
Please feel to drop in and meet us, email us or phone us. We are only too happy to give you any advice and ‘no obligation’ quotes for all your timber needs.
