Logs for sale Devon
This is truly a pile of Devon Logs. Our firewood is sourced as locally as possible, our preferred counties being Devon and Somerset. This pile of soon to be logs have been harvested as part of a program of regeneration of woodland in Devon by thinning the woodland floor to allow light and air to the existing young and mature trees, and to allow the other woodland flora and fauna to flourish. The woodpile pictured has been felled in the autumn of 2012, and will now be processed into a stockpile of logs, stored undercover ready for this coming winter. 
We keep in dry store a wide range of pre cut logs of specific sizes, and try to cater for most wood burners, open fires and bio mass boilers. Our standard lengths range from 8″ through to a hefty 16″ If you want something that is bespoke to your requirements, please feel free to ring us as we are only too happy to cut to an individuals specifications and dry store on site until needed.
These Ash trunks will not all become logs – some of the larger trunks have been earmarked for a local cabinet maker where they will be turned into drawer liners and other bespoke products. The smaller ash trunk ends are splitting, an indication that the drying & seasoning process is well underway. Not all trunks dry at the same rate, and it is something that we take into account, regularly moving through the stockpile, and leaving some of the trunks to in excess of 30 months before processing into logs.
